I’m very excited to be doing a reading of The Hearing at LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture, October 18 7:30pm (in English) and October 19 7:30pm (in Hebrew). FREE TIX.
The performance of The Hearing was first conceived as a performance by Renana Raz in Israel. This translation, by Natalie Fainstein & Guy Ben-Aharon, was commissioned by Israeli Stage in Boston.
Competing Narratives – Allegations and a recorded hearing bring to light issues of responsibility, importance of education, guidelines for freedom of speech and the power of threat.
What are the lines we draw today – will we protect the freedom speech of everyone or only the opinions we agree on? This performance is in English only, followed by discussion with prominent thinkers in English.
The Hearing is also available in Hebrew. Click here to learn more.
